Dentist in Pullman, WA — Serving Sunshine Residents
Visit Our Pullman Office!
If you live out in the Sunshine neighborhood, you already know the deal — getting across town for anything feels like planning an expedition. But when a tooth starts hurting at 7pm on a Thursday, or your kid chips something at recess, you need a dentist in Pullman who’s actually going to pick up the phone and help you out. That’s what we do at Jonny Fisher DDS. We’ve been taking care of Pullman families for years, and a big chunk of our patients come straight from Sunshine.
We’re a small practice, which means you’re not getting shuffled around between staff you’ve never met. Dr. Fisher sees you, knows your name, and remembers what’s going on with your teeth. That kind of care is hard to find anymore, and Sunshine residents shouldn’t have to drive to Spokane for it.
Dental Services We Offer at Our Pullman Office
Emergency Dentist in Pullman
A dental emergency doesn’t care what day it is or how busy you are. We keep same-day appointments available specifically for urgent situations. If you call before noon on any weekday, there’s a very good chance we can see you that same afternoon.
This is one of the most common calls we get: “I know it’s short notice but I’m in a lot of pain and I don’t know what to do.” That call is exactly what we’re here for. As an emergency dentist in Pullman, we handle cracked teeth, severe toothaches, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, and trauma from sports or accidents.
Call us first — don’t go to the ER. Hospital emergency rooms aren’t set up for dental problems. They can manage pain but usually can’t actually fix the tooth. We can. Call Dr. Fisher’s office directly and we’ll get you in as fast as possible.
Root Canal in Pullman
We know the words “root canal” make a lot of people nervous. It’s probably the most misunderstood procedure in all of dentistry. The truth is, a root canal doesn’t cause pain — it relieves the pain that’s already there. Most of our patients are genuinely surprised by how unremarkable the experience is.
We know — nobody wants to hear they need a root canal. But here’s the thing most people don’t realize until after they’ve had one: it doesn’t actually hurt that much. The infection is what hurts. The root canal fixes it. Most of our patients say they feel a whole lot better within a day or two of the procedure.
Dr. Fisher does root canals right here in our Pullman office. You don’t need a referral to a specialist in another city. We use modern techniques that make the whole process faster and more comfortable than what your parents probably remember. If you’ve been putting off dealing with a tooth that’s been bothering you for a while, this is probably the treatment that’s going to get you out of pain for good.
Cosmetic Dentist in Pullman
People come to us as their cosmetic dentist in Pullman for all kinds of reasons. Some want to fix a chipped tooth before a wedding. Others have been self-conscious about their smile for years and are finally ready to do something about it. Whatever brought you here, we’re not going to pressure you into anything. We show you your options, tell you what’s realistic, and let you decide.
Veneers, bonding, contouring, whitening — we do it all right here in Pullman. You shouldn’t have to drive to Spokane every time you want cosmetic work done. And because we know your teeth and your bite already, we can give you results that actually look natural instead of that overdone look you see sometimes.
Dental Implants
If you’re missing a tooth — or a few — dental implants are worth seriously considering. They look and feel like real teeth. They don’t slip around. You eat whatever you want. And unlike a bridge or dentures, implants actually preserve the bone in your jaw, which matters a lot long term.
We talk through all of this during the consultation. A lot of Sunshine residents come in assuming implants won’t work for them — maybe they’ve had bone loss, or they’re worried about the cost, or they just think they’re too old for it. We work through each of those questions honestly. Implants aren’t right for everyone, but they’re an option for more people than you’d think, and financing options make them more accessible than they used to be.
Teeth Whitening Service
We offer professional teeth whitening that actually works — not the strip stuff you buy at Walmart that takes weeks and barely makes a difference. Professional whitening gets you several shades lighter, and we do it safely so you don’t end up with sensitivity that drives you crazy for a week.
In-office whitening is the fastest option. We also offer take-home kits with custom trays if you’d rather do it on your own schedule. A lot of Sunshine residents grab the take-home kit before a big event — class reunion, graduation, family photos — and love the results. Either way, we walk you through what to expect before we start.
Dentures
We fit and customize dentures for Pullman residents who need full or partial replacements. Modern dentures fit much better than what people picture. We take our time getting the fit right because a denture that doesn’t fit properly is uncomfortable and frustrating — and we don’t want you dealing with that.
If you’ve had dentures for a while and they’ve started feeling loose or uncomfortable, come in for an adjustment. Your jaw changes shape over time, especially if you’ve lost teeth, and dentures need to be refitted periodically. That’s totally normal and a quick fix when you catch it early.

Questions Patients Actually Ask
What should I do if I have a dental emergency on a weekend?
Call our office number first. We have weekend availability and do our best to respond to urgent situations quickly. If it’s a true medical emergency — severe swelling affecting your ability to breathe or swallow — go to the emergency room. Otherwise, call us before you head anywhere else.
Is a root canal really as bad as everyone says?
No — and we say that honestly, not just to be reassuring. The root canal’s reputation comes from decades ago when anesthesia wasn’t as good and techniques were more primitive. Today, most patients tell us it felt like getting a filling. The anticipation is almost always worse than the actual procedure.
I haven’t been to a dentist in a few years. Will I get lectured?
No. Genuinely. We see this all the time, especially with students who were away from home or just got busy. We’re not here to make you feel bad — we’re here to get you caught up and start fresh. Tell us honestly how long it’s been and we’ll take it from there without any judgment.
How much do dental implants cost in Pullman?
Implant costs vary based on the specific case — how many teeth, whether a bone graft is needed, the type of crown. We think it’s more useful to give you an accurate number after seeing your situation than to throw out a range that might not apply to you. Our free consultation is the right place to start — no commitment, just honest information.
Do you offer same-day appointments for new patients?
For emergencies, yes — we hold slots specifically for that. For routine new patient appointments, we’re usually able to get you in within a few days. The best way to check is to call or use the online booking link — availability changes daily.
Dental Insurances We Accept
Curious about whether or not we’ll accept your insurance here at our Lewiston Office? Some of the major insurance companies we work with are Aetna, Delta Dental, Cigna, Humana, MetLife, and Principal. That’s not all though, we can work with a wide range of dental insurances. Give us a call to find out if we accept your coverage.
Our Promise To You!
We know visiting the dentist isn’t everyone’s idea of a good time, but we love it and will do our best to make this dental visit the best one you’ve ever had! Whether you come for your regular cleaning or need more extensive care such as implants, wisdom teeth removal, root canals, or clear aligners, the team will take care of you with a smile and genuine concern for your comfort and well-being.
