A message from Jonny Fisher DDS About Coronavirus (COVID-19)
To our dental family,
Our priority at Jonny Fisher DDS is to provide the BEST dental experience you’ve ever had. That means not only excellent dentist and world-class customer service, but a safe environment that promotes the health and well-being of our patients and employees. As a professional health provider, we are monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely. According to the most recent information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), for most of our patients, the immediate risk of the virus is thought to be low.
As we want you to feel confident and comfortable when visiting our practices, we have always maintained procedures that prevent the spread of disease including: frequent handwashing before and after each encounter, glove, mask and eye protection, as well as disinfection of all clinical areas. We have recently enhanced our disinfection of public areas in addition to our clinic areas, and encouraged our employees to take additional safety precautions with our patients and within our office (“elbow bumps” instead of handshakes, increased disinfection of common areas, and reminders to avoid the habit of touching our faces without washing or sanitizing after.)
Additional Safety Precautions
- Cleaning all common areas every hour including door handles and work surfaces
- Providing hand sanitizer at check-in and check-out
- Screening for symptoms of both team members and patients & encouraging people to stay home if they are at increased risk of sharing or receiving germs
With these additional safety precautions in place, we will continue to see patients and schedule future appointments. We encourage any patient who is experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19 to reschedule your appointment. These include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, we encourage you to reschedule your dental appointment and call your doctor’s office.
We will continue to monitor this situation closely by staying in contact with the CDC, health organizations, communicating with our professional colleagues and relying on other experts.
