Dental Services We Offer at Our Pullman Office
Emergency Dentist in Pullman
A dental emergency doesn’t care what day it is or how busy you are. We keep same-day appointments available specifically for urgent situations. If you call before noon on any weekday, there’s a very good chance we can see you that same afternoon.
This is one of the most common calls we get: “I know it’s short notice but I’m in a lot of pain and I don’t know what to do.” That call is exactly what we’re here for. As an emergency dentist in Pullman, we handle cracked teeth, severe toothaches, lost crowns or fillings, abscesses, and trauma from sports or accidents.
Call us first — don’t go to the ER. Hospital emergency rooms aren’t set up for dental problems. They can manage pain but usually can’t actually fix the tooth. We can. Call Dr. Fisher’s office directly and we’ll get you in as fast as possible.
Dental Emergency: What Counts and What to Do
People often wait too long because they’re not sure if their situation is serious enough to call. Our honest answer: if you’re in pain or something’s not right, just call us. Here are the situations we see most often that warrant urgent care:
- Knocked-Out Tooth: Put it in milk (not water) and call immediately. Time is critical — we may be able to save it.
- Swelling or Abscess: Swelling near your jaw or gums means infection. This one really shouldn’t wait — infections can spread.
- Broken or Cracked Tooth: Especially if there’s pain or a sharp edge cutting your cheek or tongue. We can fix this same day in most cases.
- Severe Toothache: Intense, lingering pain is your body telling you something is wrong. Don’t wait it out with ibuprofen for days.
- Lost Crown or Filling: The tooth underneath is exposed and vulnerable. Come in soon — this can escalate quickly if left alone.
- Bleeding That Won’t Stop: After a tooth extraction or injury, persistent bleeding that doesn’t respond to pressure needs to be evaluated.
Root Canal in Pullman
We know the words “root canal” make a lot of people nervous. It’s probably the most misunderstood procedure in all of dentistry. The truth is, a root canal doesn’t cause pain — it relieves the pain that’s already there. Most of our patients are genuinely surprised by how unremarkable the experience is.
A root canal becomes necessary when the nerve inside a tooth gets infected or badly damaged. Left alone, that infection spreads, the pain gets worse, and you eventually end up needing to pull the tooth entirely — which is a more involved process and leaves a gap that has its own consequences.
Dr. Fisher performs root canals right here in Pullman. Most patients don’t need a specialist. We’ll get you numb, walk you through what’s happening, and for most people the whole thing takes about an hour. You can drive yourself home and go back to your regular routine the same day.
Note: After your root canal, a dental crown is usually recommended to protect the treated tooth. We handle that too — no referral, no extra trips across town.
Cosmetic Dentist in Pullman
A lot of patients come in for something routine — a checkup, a filling — and then mention almost as an aside that they’ve always been self-conscious about their smile. They mention it like it’s not a big deal, or like it might be vain to bring it up. It’s not vain. It matters.
As a cosmetic dentist in Pullman, Dr. Fisher offers veneers, dental bonding, tooth reshaping, and smile makeovers. We can close gaps, fix chipped or uneven teeth, and change the overall proportions of a smile in sometimes dramatic ways. Many patients are genuinely suprised how much we can accomplish in one or two visits without anything elaborate.
If you’ve spent years avoiding smiling in photos, or covering your mouth when you laugh, come in for a consultation. We’ll show you what’s realistic and what it would cost — no pressure, no upselling.
Teeth Whitening Service
One of the most common questions we get from patients — students especially — is about teeth whitening. It’s quick, it’s visible, and it makes a real difference in how your smile looks. Professional whitening works substantially better than anything sold at the pharmacy, and it’s done in a way that’s safer on your enamel.
We offer two options. In-office whitening is faster — results in about 60 minutes, great if you have something coming up like graduation photos, an interview, or a wedding. Take-home trays are custom-made for your teeth and work more gradually — better for people with sensitive teeth who prefer to go at their own pace.
Either way, you’re getting professional-grade results you genuinely can’t get from strips or whitening toothpaste. We’ll help you choose the option that makes sense for you.

Questions Students Actually Ask
I’m a WSU student — how do I know if my insurance will cover a visit?
Call our office before your appointment and we’ll look it up for you. We work with a wide range of student and family insurance plans. If you don’t have dental coverage, we can walk you through our payment options — there’s no reason to skip care just because insurance is confusing.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency on a weekend?
Call our office number first. We have weekend availability and do our best to respond to urgent situations quickly. If it’s a true medical emergency — severe swelling affecting your ability to breathe or swallow — go to the emergency room. Otherwise, call us before you head anywhere else.
Is a root canal really as bad as everyone says?
No — and we say that honestly, not just to be reassuring. The root canal’s reputation comes from decades ago when anesthesia wasn’t as good and techniques were more primitive. Today, most patients tell us it felt like getting a filling. The anticipation is almost always worse than the actual procedure.
I haven’t been to a dentist in a few years. Will I get lectured?
No. Genuinely. We see this all the time, especially with students who were away from home or just got busy. We’re not here to make you feel bad — we’re here to get you caught up and start fresh. Tell us honestly how long it’s been and we’ll take it from there without any judgment.
How much do dental implants cost in Pullman?
Implant costs vary based on the specific case — how many teeth, whether a bone graft is needed, the type of crown. We think it’s more useful to give you an accurate number after seeing your situation than to throw out a range that might not apply to you. Our free consultation is the right place to start — no commitment, just honest information.
Do you offer same-day appointments for new patients?
For emergencies, yes — we hold slots specifically for that. For routine new patient appointments, we’re usually able to get you in within a few days. The best way to check is to call or use the online booking link — availability changes daily.
Dental Insurances We Accept
Curious about whether or not we’ll accept your insurance here at our Lewiston Office? Some of the major insurance companies we work with are Aetna, Delta Dental, Cigna, Humana, MetLife, and Principal. That’s not all though, we can work with a wide range of dental insurances. Give us a call to find out if we accept your coverage.
Our Promise To You!
We know visiting the dentist isn’t everyone’s idea of a good time, but we love it and will do our best to make this dental visit the best one you’ve ever had! Whether you come for your regular cleaning or need more extensive care such as implants, wisdom teeth removal, root canals, or clear aligners, the team will take care of you with a smile and genuine concern for your comfort and well-being.
