The Vandal Health Clinic Cannot Fix a Cracked Molar
The University of Idaho brings roughly 12,000 people to Moscow every fall, and a good share of them arrive without a dentist within 300 miles of their dorm. The Vandal Health Clinic on Ash Street is a real asset for a sore throat or a sprained ankle. It is not a dental office, and the first time a filling gives out during dead week, that distinction gets very concrete.
That is the gap we fill. Our Pullman office sits about nine miles west of campus on the Moscow–Pullman Highway — call it fifteen minutes, door to door, on the same road that connects the two universities. Close enough to be a real option between a morning lecture and an afternoon lab.
Most students are still carried on a family plan from somewhere else, and most of those plans run through national networks that work here. We check your benefits before you commit to anything, so the number you hear is the number you pay.

Dental Emergencies Do Not Check Your Exam Schedule
Intramural basketball at the Student Recreation Center, a rec-league elbow, a hard bite on something that should not have been that hard — the emergencies we see from campus are rarely dramatic and almost always badly timed.
Call us and we will try to see you the same day. What you should not do is drive to a hospital emergency room: an ER can manage your pain, but it cannot repair a tooth, and you will end up in a dental chair anyway with an extra bill attached.
Chipped or Broken Tooth
Rinse with warm water and save the pieces. Dental wax or sugarless gum covers a sharp edge until we see you.
Knocked-Out Tooth
Hold it by the crown, never the root. Keep it in milk and call immediately. Minutes genuinely matter here.
Lost Filling or Crown
The tooth underneath is exposed and gets worse fast. Come in before it turns into a root canal.
Severe Toothache
Usually a crack or an infection. Rinse, floss gently to clear anything trapped, and call. Do not ride it out.
Swollen Jaw or Gums
A sign of infection. This is the one that should not wait for the weekend or the end of the term.
Impacted Wisdom Tooth
Pain at the back of the jaw during finals is a classic. We can look at it and, in most cases, take it out here.

Getting Here
Fifteen Minutes West of the Kibbie Dome
Take the Moscow–Pullman Highway west out of Moscow, cross into Washington, and follow it into Pullman. We are at 650 SE Bishop Boulevard, Suite 200, Pullman, WA 99163, with parking directly outside — no campus permit, no garage, no circling.
If you do not have a car, the route is the same one the intercampus bus runs, and plenty of Vandals coordinate a visit with a friend heading over to Pullman anyway.

The campus clinic on Ash Street covers medical care, not dental. A cracked molar, a bad ache, or a cleaning all need a dental office, and ours is about 15 minutes west on the Moscow-Pullman Highway.

Very often, yes. Most dental plans work through national networks, so an out-of-state plan frequently covers care here. Call us with the plan details before you schedule and we will verify your benefits so you know what you owe up front.
We open at 7:30 in the morning, which is before most first classes start. Tell us what your schedule looks like and we will find a slot that does not cost you a lecture.
Call us and we will work you in, often the same day. Save any pieces of the tooth, rinse with warm water, and do not head to the hospital emergency room. An ER can manage pain but cannot repair a tooth.
