The Professional Side

EDUCATION

Waterlily studied at the University of Washington, where she became fascinated by the human brain and majored in neuroscience. After working in labs covering neuroscience, biomechanics, brain-machine interfaces and robotics, she realized she wanted a career where every day is different. So instead of becoming a neurosurgeon, she chose dentistry.

DENTAL SCHOOL

She spent four years in dental school at the University of Southern California, where she kept up her passion for volunteer trips, traveling to Jamaica and Guatemala to provide free dental care to underserved communities. She hopes to keep volunteering every year, and would love for a future trip to include treating animals’ teeth!

The Personal Side

Waterlily is adventurous and outgoing, with a long list of hobbies. Right now she especially loves rock climbing and dancing. She enjoys conversations with people and believes there is always something to learn from anyone. She is also a huge animal lover, with a Pomeranian and a tuxedo cat at home. Her Pomeranian would love to say hi to everyone, just know he will lick you like crazy!
